Sabudana Chiwda in another fasting recipe.To make sabudana Chiwda you need nylon sabudana,regular sabudana won't work.Sabudana Chiwda is one of the favorite dishes of Maharashtrian.I added only red chili powder if you want then you can spice the sabudana with spices that are used in fasting.Store the Sabudana Chiwda in an airtight jar or box and have as a snack,whenever required.You can try another Maharashtrian recipes like Sabudana Vada,Aloo Poha, and Sabudana Khichdi.

Ingredients For Sabudana Chiwda:

1/2 cup nylon sabudana
1/4 cup peanuts
1/4 kishmish(raisins)
1/4 cup cashews(Kaju)
1/4 teaspoon red chili powder or 1 chopped green chili
Rock salt as required
oil for deep frying

Step by step method of Sabudana Chiwda:

1. Take a nylon sabudana in a metal frying strainer.

2. Now heat an oil in kadhai.Heat that much quantity,in which the sabudana can get immersed completely.Placed the metal frying strainer with only 2-3 tbsp of the sabudana in the oil.Don't over crowd as then the frying is not even.

3. When the sabudana come in contact with the oil,they will start puffing up.

4. Keep on turning them around with the help of a spoon,so that sabudana are fried evenly in the oil.

5. When the sabudana fried very well.And looks crispy.If they are not cooked from the center,then continue to fry them.Now remove and drain the fried sabudana on kitchen tissue paper and remove excess oil.

6. Now fry raw peanuts in the oil in the same way the sabudana is fried.Until the peanuts changed color and become crunchy fry them.Similarly, fry cashews and raisins.

7. As soon as they are fried and golden,drain them on paper napkins.

8. Now add rock salt,sugar,red chili powder,fried cashews and raisins with sabudana and mix everything together.

9. Cover the mixture in the jar.Cover the jar tightly and shake it,so as to mix the seasonings with the sabudana and dry fruits.

1. Pick 1 cup sabudana and soak the sabudana in water for about 2 hours or until sabudana become soft.

2. After that add 4 boiled mashed potatoes,coarsely roasted peanuts,rock salt,finely chopped ginger,chopped green chilies,coriander leaves, and lemon juice.

1 cup sabudana
2 potatoes
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
8-9 curry leaves
1 teaspoon grated ginger(optional)
1 chopped green chili
1 teaspoon cumin
1/4 cup grated fresh coconut
Sugar as required
Rock salt as required
1 teaspoon lemon juice(as required)
2 tablespoon oil

Step by step method of sabudana khichdi:

1. Pick 1 cup sabudana and soak the sabudana in water for about 2 hours or until sabudana become soft.

2. Add 1/2 cup peanut in a pan.  Until the peanuts become crunchy roast them and keep aside.

Ingredients For Aloo Poha:

2 cups thick poha
1 large potato cubed
1 finely chopped onion
1 finely chopped green chili
8-9 curry leaves
1 teaspoon rai(mustard seeds)
1 teaspoon jeera(cumin seeds)
2 tablespoon roasted moong phalli(peanuts)
1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon sugar
2-3 tablespoon grated fresh coconut(optional)
1-2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
3 tablespoon oil
salt as required
1 teaspoon lemon juice or as required

Step by step method of aloo poha recipe:

1. Heat up a pan and add 2 tbsp peanuts and roasted them.

2. Until the peanuts become crunchy roast them and keep aside.

3. Pick 2 cups poha and wash them in clean running water by using a strainer.Note that yo do note wash the poha too much or else it breaks and get mushy.If the poha does not become soft,sprinkle few drops of water on the poha in the strainer.

4. Now sprinkle 1 tsp sugar,1/2 tsp turmeric powder, and salt as required.

5. Gently mix the poha with your hand.

6. Now add 2 tbsp oil in a pan and heat it.

7. After that add 1 potato which has been cut in small cubes.

Chicken pakora is one of the most famous chicken dishes.Chicken pakora is served in most restaurants.This dish is also prepared in many Indian homes.Chicken is marinated in spices and coated with flour and deep-fried.Chicken Pakoda recipe can be made in so many ways,But I have used one of the easiest methods here to made Chicken Pakoda.Along with Chicken pakora, you can try Chili Chicken also.

Ingredients For Chicken Pakoda Recipe:

1/2 cup chicken cubes.
1/2 cup onion sliced(layers separated)
2 chopped green chilies
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp turmeric powder
salt as required
15-20 chopped curry leaves
4-5 tbsp besan(or adjust as per needed)
1 tbsp corn flour
oil for deep fry

Step by step method of Chicken Pakoda Recipe:

1. Add chicken cubes,onion slices,curry leaves,chopped green chilies,salt,turmeric powder,red chili powder and garam masala in a bowl.

2. Add lemon juice and marinate it.Keep aside for 20 minutes.

3. Now add besan and corn flour to the mixture and mix well.

4. You must get a hard dough,if needed sprinkle little water.
