The gravy tastes amazingly delicious with the flavors of butter roasted eggs.Butter Masala is usually with paneer or chicken.Making it with egg is uncommon,but surely a great one for those who love eggs or want to avoid paneer or chicken.Egg Butter Masala is also called as Makhni.It is easy and quick to prepare.Egg Butter Masala goes very well as a side with almost anything like plain rice,roti,pulao,jeera rice,butter naan and even with biriyani.

Ingredients For Egg Butter Masala Recipe:

3 boiled eggs
1 tbsp butter
3 chopped onions
1 cup tomatoes puree
10 cashew nuts
2 tsp red chili powder
Turmeric powder as needed
2 cloves
2 cardamoms
1 small cinnamon stick
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp coriander powder
Few coriander leaves

Step by step method of Egg Butter Masala Recipe:

1. Add 3/4 tbsp butter in a pan and heat it.

2. Now add boiled eggs to a pan and roasted them.Keep the roasted egg aside.

3. To the same pan,add chopped onions,tomatoes,cashews and salt.Fry them on a medium flame till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.If required then cover the pan and cook for few minutes.

4. After that add chili powder and turmeric powder.

5. Fry until the aroma of chili powder goes away.

6. Cool the mixture and add to the blender jar with 3/4 cup water.

7. Blend to a smooth puree.

8. Now add another 3/4 tbsp butter in a pan and heat it.After that add cinnamon stick,cloves, and green cardamom n fry them.

9. After that add the onion tomato puree and add more water as needed for gravy.

10. Cover the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.

11. When the gravy become thickens,add garam masala and coriander powder.Cook further for a while.

12. When the fat from butter visible lightly on the gravy add eggs.Cook covered for about 2-3 minutes.Garnish with coriander leaves.
