Ingredients For Chilli chicken Recipe:

Oil for deep frying

Ingredients For marination:

250 grams boneless chicken
2 teaspoon chili sauce
2 teaspoon soya sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
2-3 tablespoon corn flour
1/4 tsp red chili powder
salt as required

Ingredients For seasoning:

2 teaspoon soya sauce
1 teaspoon chili sauce
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
3/4-1 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon sugar

Ingredients for veggies:

1 onion - Thinly sliced or cubed
2 teaspoon chopped garlic
1/2 cup cubed capsicum
1-2 slit green chilies
1 chopped spring of spring onion
spring onion for garnish

Step by step method of Chilli Chicken Recipe:

1. First, wash the chicken and add in a bowl.Now add 2 tsp soya sauce,2 tsp chili sauce,and 1/4 tsp pepper powder,Mix well all the mixture.Leave it for near about 30-40 minutes for marinating.if you have time then you can leave it for 50 minutes,its helps the meat to absorb the flavors.

2. After that add 2 tbsp corn flour and salt to the chicken.If you want thick and crunchy coating like we get in restaurants,then add 1 tbsp more corn flour and 1 tbsp plain flour.Mix well to coat if needed then add some water.

3. Now add chili powder or paprika and mix again.This helps to get a good color.

4. Now chicken looks like that.Note that if you add too much water,it will absorb a lot of oil and will not turn crispy.

5. Now add oil in a pan for frying the chicken.heat oil till it hot enough.Deep fry the chicken pieces till it becomes golden.

6. Now drain off the pieces of chicken on the kitchen tissue.

7. Now prepare the sauce.Take a bowl and add 2 tsp soya sauce,3/4 to 1 tsp vinegar,1/2 tsp red chili powder or paprika,1 tsp chili sauce or ketchup,1/4 tsp pepper powder to a bowl.

8. Remove the oil from a pan and keep 2 tbsp oil in the pan.Now add chopped garlic and fry for a minute.Add onions,green chilies,spring onions and capsicum.Fry until they turn slightly tender.

9. Add the sauce and saute it.

10. Now add the chicken and mix .If its look dry ,sprinkle little water.Fry on a high flame till it looks dry.

11. Switch off the flame and serve hot Chili Chicken with fried rice or noodles.
