Shahi Paneer Recipe

Shahi Paneer Recipe:

The name itself define the recipe its a royal dish.Shahi Paneer is a combination of lots of ingredients like dry fruits,saffron,whole spices,yogurt and generally cream is added to the dish to make it more delicious and rich.But in this recipe ,I have not used cream.Because the combination of onions,almond,cashew, and melon seed Shahi Paneer Gravy is a Yummy,creamy,aromatic and semi-sweet gravy.I have used yogurt instead of tomato puree,if you want then you use tomato puree.But not that if you used tomatoes puree then you have to use cream also along with tomatoes puree

Serves:4 Serving

Ingredients For Paneer Butter Masala Recipe:

200-250 grams paneer cuts into cubic sized.
1.5 cups strained stock which prepares from boiling the onions with dry fruits.Add 1.5 cups water with strained stock.
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 cup fresh yogurt.Whisked yogurt until it becomes smooth
1/2 teaspoon red chili
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon cardamon powder
2 tablespoon cream(optional)
salt and sugar as required
A pinch of Kesar

Ingredients fo making the paste:

1 medium sized roughly chopped onion
2 tablespoon chopped cashews
1 tablespoon melon seed - without the skin
1 tablespoon almond
4-5 garlic clove
1 inched chopped ginger
Ingredients for spices
2-3 cloves
2-3 green cardamon
1 bay leaf
1-2 black cardamon
1-inch cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
2-3 tablespoon oil(if you want then used ghee or butter also)

Step by step method of Shahi Paneer Recipe:

1. Add 1.5 cups water in a bowl and add onions,cashews,melon seeds,ginger,almond and garlic and cook for 8-10 minutes.

2. Until the onion becomes soft boil the above the mixture.Strain the mixture and keep aside.

3. Make the paste of above mixture.Add 1-2 tsp strained water.

4. Add 1-2 tsp oil in a pan,add all the whole garam masala and fry them till they release fragrance in the oil.

5. Now add the paste of ground onion-dry fruits paste.until the oil starts to leave the aside of the paste fry the paste.

6. After that add 1/2 tsp red chili,1/4 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp coriander powder and stir well.

7. Now add the strained stock,whisked yogurt,some water,salt and sugar.stir well all the mixture and cook for 10-12 minutes on a low flame until the gravy become thickens slightly.

8. Now add the crushed saffron and cardamom powder and stir well.

9. After that add paneer cubes.If you want to add cream then add the cream along with paneer cubes.Until the paneer is cooked simmer the gravy.

10. At last garnish the Shahi paneer with coriander leaves and saffron and serve this royal dish with tandoori roti or jeera rice.
