Butter Chicken Recipe:

Butter Chicken is also known as Punjabi Murgh Makhani,Is one of the most popular Indian dishes.Butter Chicken is best to serve with ghee rice,jeera rice,plain biriyani,pulao, and paratha.It is totally different from all other chicken dishes,grilled chicken cooked in a smooth buttery and creamy tomato based gravy is known as Butter Chicken murgh makhani.You can also try  Simple Chicken Curry and Kadhai Chicken.

Ingredients For Butter chicken Recipe:

Ingredients For marination:

500 grams chicken
3/4 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/8 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
3/4 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 cup curd

Ingredients For makhani masala(gravy):

2 tablespoon butter
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
2-inch cinnamon stick
2-3 green cardamoms
2-3 cloves
1-2 slit green chilies
puree of 3 tomatoes
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tbsp sugar
salt as required
90-100 ml chilled cream
few chopped coriander leaves(for garnishing)


Step by step method of Simple chicken Curry recipe:

1. TO make the chicken soft and tasty first, marinate it.wash the chicken and remove excess water from it.add salt,lemon juice,red chili powder,turmeric powder,fresh curd,ginger-garlic paste,oil, and garam masala.If you want then add crushed Kasuri methi.Leave it for marinate about 20-30 minutes.

2. After that grill the chicken in the oven or stove top.If you grilled chicken on tawa then add 1 tsp butter and fry on high.Keep stirring the chicken don't burn and do not over cook.

3. Until the chicken turns lightly golden saute it.

4. Heat butter in a pan,add cinnamon,cloves, and cardamom and saute for 1-2 minutes.Now add ginger garlic paste,green chilies, and fry until the raw smell disappears.

5. Add tomato puree, red Chili powder, salt, and sugar to the Pan.

6. Next, mixed all the mixture and saute well until the tomato began to leave the oil from the side of the pan.

7. After that pour 1 cup of water and methi powder and almond paste.Mixed it well and let it be simmered for 3 to 5 minutes.

8. Now add chicken to the mixture and stir well.simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes until it becomes soft.Checked the salt and spice and adjust as needed.

9. After that add garam masala.You can adjust the consistency by adding more water if the gravy is very thick.Mix well and simmer for about 2-3 minutes.Then add chilled cream and switch off the flame.

10. Garnish Butter Chicken with cream and coriander leaves and serve with roti or rice.
